New experiment: Yet to be finished

Drew this last night. I am not good at free hand sketches and symmetries. Still...
It's yet to be finished. I wish to paint it all black.

Half wrong, still good :)

Drawn last year...

I sketched this one after my new found love for Korean movies, dramas, actors, actresses. Nobody at home knows Korean actors, so there was no question of being able to identify who this is. But everyone liked this one. They said I had become good at sketching now. My father even asked me to sketch him.

Left part of the face has become larger than the right one. If I hide it with hand, rest of the sketch looks good. By the way, this is Son Ye Jin, one of my favorite Korean actresses.

This is the original picture:

Left side of my sketch has gone wrong, else it could have matched with the above photo to larger extent. Anyway, was a good experience though :)

The one that's gone totally wrong!

Old one...

Everyone laughs after seeing this sketch. Had it gone well, this person could have been Leonardo DiCaprio. I am sure that now you are laughing too. Yeah, it's gone totally wrong.. Anyway, won't throw it away.

One of the best!

Old one.. But the best one among celebrity sketches..

I don't know if I should say this about my own work, but this is too gorgeous. I love this sketch very much. I felt that I had reached a new height in my sketching. The girl is too pretty and so is this sketch. Oops! A lot of self-praise :)

This one is the best among the celebrity sketches I have drawn.. Calling it the best among celebrity sketches because there is a sketch of a very dear friend which I drew. I consider that sketch the best, but I don't have it. I gifted it to that friend as a memento.

Anyway, I feel I have improved on a lot of grounds in this sketch. Eyes seem to be smaller as compared to the rest of the face. Still, I totally love it!

Threw away, brought back

Another 3rd year sketch...

I had thrown this sketch in a dustbin thinking it had gone totally bad. But then brought it back thinking I had invested a lot of time in it and it should not go in a dustbin. I wouldn't show it to anybody until one day, I showed it to my mother and brother and they instantly told who this gentleman is. Since then, I kept it back in my sketch book. Now that I look at it, it ain't really that bad :)

I improved on eyes, eyebrows, shading in this sketch. I still think that eyes have become smaller as compared to the rest of the face. Anyway, it sure is a lot better than the previous ones :)

Very bad from my view

Old one... Drawn probably in 3rd year.

Personally, I didn't like this sketch at all and I thought nobody would be able to identify who this lady is. But fortunately and surprisingly, many did.. Even my mother did..
Can you ???

I added shading to the face in this sketch. That is the only thing I like about this sketch.

Not very bad, not very good either...

Old one.. One of the attempts in 3rd year.

Not as good as it could have been.. Only some people could identify who this person was. I hope you could identify too..

Unfinished

Had I completed the sketch, she could have been Kareena Kapoor. But I got bored and left it to only eyes. Damn, I dislike Kareena so much that I could not go beyond her eyes..

By the way, I could improve on drawing eyes a bit in this sketch.

First identifiable portrait sketch

I had tried to sketch Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta long back while I was in 9th standard. Nobody could identify the people from my sketches. So I thought perhaps sketching faces was not my talent and didn't touch the pencil again for sketching people for many years. Then in probably 3rd year of B.Tech., I sketched this madam. And the best thing.. everybody whom I showed this sketch, could identify who she was. From this sketch onward, I began sketching faces again and could improve a bit with every next sketch.
Hoping that you'll be able to recognize who this madam is! :)

Some old cartoon sketches

These are very old sketches, probably when I was in 2nd or 3rd year of B.Tech., that makes these around 3 years old. These were in my old sketch book back at home. I took the pictures this time I went home. Hmm.. these aren't that bad.. :D

Tried water colors after a long time...

I tried these just at the beginning of this summer vacation when things were not broken..
These really look like those drawn by a kid, don't they? :) I am really not good at painting..
By the way, I have tried water colors here, used those after a long time.

Filling Colors in Life: Day 2

Today, I took something that was really beyond my ability. This painting was much more than I could handle. By the time I finished it, I felt painting is not my domain at all. Huh..

Perhaps I should take proper lessons of painting before going for such a complex painting.

The original song by Christina Perri itself is very beautiful. Piano cover makes it more beautiful...

Kiss The Rain by Yiruma

Of the few new age piano artists I know, Yiruma is my favorite. And of all his tunes, "Kiss The Rain" is the most favorite. This tune has also been used in the background of the K-Drama "Summer Scent".

New fascination: Oil pastels!

A set of oil pastels!

Ever since I heard the name oil pastels, I was fascinated by the idea of learning to use them. And now, finally I have bought a set of oil pastels! Hoping to have a lot of fun! :)
